WonHundred Word Wednesday: Twentieth Floor

Since it has been a very long time since I participated in WonHundred Word Wednesday’s, let me tell you what they are. Each Wednesday a group of us are writing a 100 word story based on a prompt given. The participants are listed below and I encourage you to check out their stories. We’ve had a great time doing this. Enjoy!

The prompt for today is: As he took in the view from the twentieth floor, the lights went out all over the city.

Walking up twenty flights of stairs sounded like such a great idea earlier, Bob thought to himself. If it were not for the hot new secretary asking to meet him on the roof tonight, he’d be home nursing a cold beer and watching a hockey game on the television.

And why me? Of all the guys in the office Michelle asked me to meet her. It seemed a little absurd but these moments don’t often present themselves. Bob was about to pass out as he took in the view from the twentieth floor. The lights went out all over the city.

Check out the other great stories! And come back each Wednesday for a new prompt.
