This week’s prompt: Spider threads caught at her face, a sign that no-one had been there yet.
Spider threads caught at her face, a sign that no-one had been there yet. She wondered if they would all be coming tonight. It had been so long since they’d met under these circumstances. In fact, it had been almost 100 years since the council had convened at Rock Haven.
A dim light was visible from the attic window as she turned to hear a car motor and the slamming of breaks outside on the gravel. It was happening all over again and she didn’t know if she’d be able to handle it. No one knew for sure but Edmund.
Check out the other great stories! And come back each Wednesday for a new prompt.
