Wonhundred Word Wednesday: Crowd

This weeks prompt: She was carried along by the crowd.

She was carried along by the crowd. It was very noisy as the fireworks began and the streets flooded with men and women ready to do anything for beads. New Orleans was supposed to be a fun getaway. Go and have fun they said. But it hadn’t been fun at all.

Frantically, she searched for her sister who had been right by her side just a few minutes ago. Now she was gone. Where was she?

Was that man in the purple jacket still chasing them? She was too afraid to even look behind her. Rachel was gone.

Check out the other great stories! And come back each Wednesday for a new prompt.

Intriguing. It sets up a story nicely and makes you wonder things right away.

Thanks Jenna. I think there is at least a short story in this one for sure. It reminded me of a scene from The Pelican Brief.
