This week’s post: His voice had never sounded so cold.
His voice had never sounded so cold as it did on the night our daughter disappeared. If I had to pinpoint a time, I think that was the moment I lost him. He stopped talking. To our other children. To his friends. To his family. But more importantly to me; his best friend.
I don’t think anyone can truly understand what happens inside of a person when their child is taken from them. The child that was hoped for and wished for over many years. The child that was loved the moment she was conceived.
Check out the other great stories! And come back each Wednesday for a new prompt.
